Le drapeau breton flotte dans les rues de Riga.

A l’initiative d’Hélène Louapre, Directrice de la Société Cose, des Bretons ont participé en mai 2005 à une manifestation à Riga et fièrement, ils ont porté le drapeau breton, dans les rues, au son de la bombarde et du biniou.
Ils ont également été reçus à la Mairie de Riga.
Depuis, le drapeau breton flotte en Lettonie.

Précisions sur la description du drapeau breton :
Le drapeau breton  a été créé en 1923. Il est composé de cinq bandes noires et de quatre bandes blanches.
Les 5 bandes noires représentent les 5 évêchés de Haute-Bretagne..
• Dol
• Nantes
• Rennes
• Saint Brieuc
• Saint Malo

Les 4 bandes blanches représentent les 4 évêchés de Basse Bretagne.
• Cornouaille
• Léon
• Trégor
• Vannetais

En haut, à gauche, un rectangle contenant 11 hermines qui correspondent aux 11 duchés.

Le drapeau breton s’appelle le Gwen ha du.

On Helene Louapre's initiative, founder of Cose company, some Bretons attended to one event in Riga in May 2005 and came on the Riga streets with the Brittany flag together with bagpipe music.They were welcomed in Riga Municipaly. Nowadays the Brittany flas is in Latvia.

Some explanation about Brittany flag (called Gwen ha du) : the Breton flag was created in 1923. It consists of five black bands (strips) and four white bands (strips). 5 black bands (strips) represent 5 bishop's palaces of High Brittany: Dol - Nantes - Rennes - Saint Brieuc - Saint Malo  and 4 white bands(strips) represent 4 bishop's palaces of Low Brittany:  Cornouaille · Léon · Trégor · Vannetais

At the top to the left a rectangle containing 11 ermines which represent small kingdom.
